What is Geofence Advertising?

Digital Advertising served to people because of where they have specifically been.

As it relates to Qujam, geofence advertising (also known as geofencing advertising, geo-fence advertising, geofence marketing, and geofencing marketing) is a type of hyper-specific location-based digital advertising targeting that allows brands to serve display ads, video pre-roll ads, OTT/CTV ads, and/or digital audio ads (audio will be coming to Qujam in Phase 2) to devices that have been located in a custom selected geofenced location. You'll be able to retarget these devices and other devices that have connected with the originally targeted device (for example, other phones, tablets, smart TVs, and computers) for up to 30 days after the person enters a geofence.

You can apply to be part of our select group of Pioneer testers and be one of the first companies to have access to Qujam's geofence advertising platform.

How does geofence advertising technology work?

Some outdated geofence targeting solutions use radio-frequency identification (RFID), beacons, Wi-fi only, and Bluetooth technology, but Qujam is built on the most sophisticated geofence targeting technology available.  We hyper-target people who have been to a specific location using GPS satellites as the primary form of targeting but will also layer on Wi-fi data (if available) for an extra tier of accuracy.  In the United States of America, about 90% of mobile devices have GPS turned on at any given time. This targeting is just as accurate as the GPS you use on your phone's map app, which is about 4.9 meters or roughly 16 feet.

What advertising types can be used with Qujam's geofence advertsing?

Qujam focuses on high-impact and high volume with video and display-based ads.

Qujam focuses on serving OTT/CTV (Over the Top/Connected TV), Video Pre-Roll, and Display ads (Banner ads) across a network of thousands of publishers. To simplify things, OTT/CTV ads show up when someone is streaming a show, movie, sports, news, etc. on something like Roku, Hulu, or Apply TV. Video Pre-Roll ads show up on shorter online videos like news websites, blogs, and apps.  Lastly, Display Ads show up on websites and apps. These can be static or animated ads that normally appear along the top, bottom, or side of content.

What devices can receive ads from geofence targeted ads?

Cross-device matching allows us to serve ads to smartphones, tablets, TVs, and computers!

Most of the devices we initially capture are smartphones. They are the devices people mainly carry and are highly likely to have GPS turned on. Thanks to Cross-Device Matching though, we can identify other devices that are linked to the originally captured device to serve ads (OTT/CTV, Video Pre-roll, and Display Ads) across a consumer's network of devices. Examples include television, computer, tablets, and smartphones.

Every current geofencing advertising provider has a combination of at least two of the below hurdles for their customers (as we like to call them, "closed doors").  Qujam is developed to open every one of these doors.
