About Direct Mail/EDDM Companion Campaigns

We have encouraged the use of direct mail in combination with addressable geofencing as an effective combination for years. Now, through our partnership with one of the country's largest whole sale printers, we will be offering two forms of direct mail to complement our customer's addressable geofencing campaigns.

These companion direct mail options along with geofencing efforts means you are able to reach your niche audience via digital and tangible efforts that creates a stronger integrated marketing approach.

Traditional direct mail where we will send a direct mail piece the the specific addresses you provide in your addressable list is the primary and most logical offering. However, we are also able to leverage EDDM (Every Door Direct Mail) were we will match complete mail routes from your address list and send direct mail pieces to every address on the mail route. EDDM is less expensive per piece, but pulls in many more addresses.

The Difference Between Direct Mail and EDDM

Traditional Direct Mail is a highly targeted marketing strategy that allows businesses to deliver personalized messages to a group of individual addresses based on curated mailing lists. By leveraging data such as demographics, purchase history, or exact addresses, companies can tailor their offers to a niche audience and address recipients by name. While this approach involves higher costs per piece due to list procurement and standard postage, its precision often yields a higher conversion rate, making it ideal for customer retention, B2B marketing, or high-value acquisitions.

In contrast, Every Door Direct Mail (EDDM) is a cost-effective, route-based service designed for broad, local saturation. Instead of targeting specific individuals, EDDM delivers promotional pieces to every single address along designated mail carrier routes, utilizing generic labeling like "Postal Customer." Because it eliminates the need for purchasing mailing lists and offers significantly discounted postage rates, EDDM is the go-to option for local businesses, like restaurants, gyms, or contractors, looking to build geographic awareness efficiently without breaking the bank.
