Install Site Tracking Tag
- Purpose: To link your website and the Qujam system to allow online conversion actions to be tracked
- Process: Add a tracking code snippet to your website's site-wide header. This can also be completed using Google Tag Manager, if you choose
- Tip: You only need to complete this step once regardless of how many Qujam campaigns you run
Define Online Conversions
- Purpose: To tell the system which online conversion actions you want to track on your Qujam campaign
- Process: Select which URL(s) and/or buttons click(s) you want to count as conversions for the campaign
- Tip: You can choose up to four (4) online conversions per campaign. Make sure you consider the actions you track important
Check Setup
- Purpose: To ensure your online conversions are set up correctly
- Process: Follow the instructions to test your tags using Google Tag Manager or review your website's embedded tracking codes
- Tip: Consider setting up and using Google Tag Manager to test and manage all of your online conversions
Tips for Selecting Your Online Conversions
-
Target Bottom-of-Funnel Actions: Track high-value button clicks like "Submit Quote" or "Add to Cart" rather than generic homepage visits.
-
Track "Thank You" URLs: Use post-action confirmation URLs instead of form-page URLs to guarantee a submission was actually successful.
-
Bridge Digital to Physical: Track "Get Directions" or "View Map" button clicks to connect online engagement with your offline foot traffic goals.
-
Diversify Your Four Conversion Goals: Allocate your conversions strategically—one primary purchase URL, two secondary intent clicks (e.g., "Pricing"), and one local action click (e.g., "Call Now").
-
Use Clean HTML Buttons: Ensure the buttons you track are standard, clickable elements. Avoid actions that are hidden inside complex JavaScript or dynamic pop-up.
-
Always Add UTMs: Pair your Qujam URL tracking with UTM parameters on your landing pages to seamlessly cross-reference campaign performance in Google Analytics.
- Tag Manager: We recommend leveraging Google Tag Manager for your online conversion set up. It's relatively easy and improves your testability.
